Wax sculpture · Made to order. Denso opens a series of sculptures made in wax. A compact, organic form that explores the tension between object and fire. It's made to order and requires approximately 5 days of production. Each piece shows subtle variations inherent to the manual process. Unscented. It incorporates an extended wick as a latent possibility. It can be lit, but it isn't intended as a conventional candle. It is presence before function. Matter that can transform or remain intact. Object or fire.
Material & process
Each piece is hand-shaped from our own original, reproduced by mould, poured, unmoulded and individually finished by hand in Madrid. The variations between units come from that manual process.
Made with a blend of soy wax and a small proportion of mineral wax to ensure the stability of the piece.
Preparation & shipping
Preparation: between 3 and 5 days. Delivery in Spain: 24-72h.
Returns
Returns accepted within 14 days if the piece hasn't been used.
How to light it
Trim the wick to 5 mm before each use. Place it on a heat-resistant surface, away from draughts. Do not leave it burning for more than 2 hours at a time or unattended.
Forms open to time. They can stay intact or slowly change through fire.
